Read and share a Decision Brief

Outcome: a sourced answer you can defend in a meeting.

A Brief is built to be forwarded. Read it in the same order every time and it takes under a minute to decide whether to act.

    Steps

    1. 1

      Read the answer first

The finding leads the Brief in plain language, with the supporting numbers beside it.

    2. 2

      Check the confidence level

Confidence reflects coverage, freshness, and how cleanly the question mapped to confirmed definitions. Low confidence usually means a missing source.

    3. 3

      Open one source

Every number links to the systems and rows behind it. Spot-check one figure. See data lineage.

    4. 4

      Read the recommended action

Decide whether to act, assign, or dismiss. Dismissing with a reason improves the next Brief.

    5. 5

      Export or share

Export the Brief for a board pack, or share it in the workspace so the sources travel with the number.

    6. 6

      Turn it into a watch

If you will ask this again, promote the underlying rule to a Risk Alert.

    Sharing rules of thumb

    • Share the Brief, not a screenshot of the number. The sources are the point.
    • Workspace members see Briefs according to their permissions.
    • For recurring distribution, use a dashboard or an action trigger instead of manual forwarding.
