Decision Briefs
A Decision Brief is how SIGNLD answers a question. It states the finding in plain language, shows the numbers that support it, gives a confidence level, lists the source systems and rows behind each figure, and proposes a recommended action. It is built to be forwarded and defended in a meeting, not just read.
How it works
- Answer first. The finding leads, with the supporting numbers next to it.
- Confidence reflects data coverage, freshness, and how well the question maps to confirmed definitions.
- Sources list the systems and rows used, so any figure can be opened and checked.
- Recommended action turns the finding into something a person can do this week.
How to use it
- Read confidence before you read the number. Low confidence usually points at a missing source.
- Open one source per Brief the first few weeks. It builds trust faster than any explanation.
- Export or share the Brief rather than retyping the number into a slide.
Decision Brief FAQ
What does the confidence level mean?
It summarises how well supported the answer is: how much relevant data is connected, how fresh it is, and whether the question maps cleanly to confirmed metric definitions. It is a prompt to check sources, not a probability of being right.
Can I see exactly where a number came from?
Yes. Every figure in a Brief links to the source system and the rows that produced it, which is what SIGNLD means by source traceability.
Can I share a Brief with someone outside the workspace?
You can export a Brief to share it. Live in-app access follows workspace membership and permissions.
